Help telling his wife

"Just checked and got herpes.. How can I tell my wife? Please help! Can I just act don't know and say I got it from non sexual contact? God please help!
Life will be ruin.. Career ruin.. No more face.. What trick to use to escape this? Posting it here since it is under sexual health issue (mental stress).."

P.S. It's not me.. My buddy kena and ask me for help.. He is mentally down and facing a huge challenge in life now.. Mid life crisis.. He looking for a lobang to escape and said will act normal.. still have sex with wife as if nothing has happen..

Since a huge portion of the population has this, you might tell her that you think you have always had it and maybe because your health is down a little bit, it is just now showing up. You could have gotten this when you were a child and it just now is making itself known. When you can prove to her that >70% of the world's population has Herpes (ie: cold sores and other ways it can show up), I don't think she will be too concerned except want you go to the doctor and get treated as much as possible.

Having Herpes is normal. Almost everyone has it.

I have never done a test but chances of my testing positive for HSV1 are in excess of 80% especially since my first girlfriend used to give me blow jobs while she was having an outbreak.

The majority never have any symptoms at all. I'm probably one of them.

Chances are your friend's wife already has Herpes so there is no need for your friend to say anything at all.

Tell him to just carry on with life and enjoy himself.

Jialat.. First time my boss cry in front of me.. Anyway he already talk to her and will quit la.. Awkward seeing them in office though..

Unfortunately I see this kind of reaction all too often.

People react to a HSV infection almost as badly as a HIV infection.

I often say HSV is more of a psychological disease than a virological disease.

My personal opinion is that the root cause is guilt. So no matter how much you tell them HSV is common to a point of being normal, they still cling on to the guilt that they have done something immoral or deviant and have brought a horrible deforming sexual disease home that will destroy the lives of their family. I have seen patients who no longer eat with their family, wash their clothes separately, don't kiss or even carry their children anymore etc

Which is sad because the fear and paranoia is breaking up the family more than the disease itself.

I honestly do not know how to deal with such people. I try to be as reassuring and as supportive as possible but the message just does not get through.

So this guy's boss will probably spend a good few months or years in a wreck over a disease that causes nothing more than some skin blisters sometimes. Let's hope he eventually comes out of it. So sad.

Herpes has been around since time immemorial. However, when I was a teenager, no layman had ever heard of the disease.

It certainly wasn't on the list when we were briefed about what was then referred to as "VD" (Venereal Diseases) before we went to ROC for training and R & R.
