Last week was staying in Golden Virgo! Fcuking hotel really sucks big time! Room 418, at $41/- a nite with a run down room (even Kingstar hotel at balai @RP140K beat em), simply breakfast like mee goreng with yellow rice, bread! Wat kind of 3 star hotel is tat!! Aircond leaked! TV screwed up. Technician came and we chat. Asked him about porn movie cos he told me he was an ex staff of Formosa. He said nothing he know of.

Anyway, I will check it out. Tks bro for the info.

Formosa to me was a run down hotel with expensive rate. But that was 2 yrs ago. Don't know about the conditions now. But the Alisan Karaoke got nice cewek.

I think the few hotels that have nice breakfast are as follows:

1. Novotel
2. Melia
3. Harmoni
4. Goodway

But they all charge S$70 and above for rooms. Depending on how u book them, or got who to book for u. But if staying at Hotels like Island view or the rest of avg S$50 room rates, the $20 saved is much more than enuff for u to get a nice meal outside of the hotel.

On the rooms with below $50 rates range, Island view acceptable. But the breakfast (to me) sucks. But definitely better than Golden Virgo!

Goodway is less the S$70 for standard rooms.
Around S$55-60 nia....

It's very true what u saying about the savings.
I'd rather sleep in a cheaper hotel in Rp120,000 range and save a whole lot more.
