System of phone booking without deposit will never work properly if it is open to any Tom, Dick or Harry becos there will always be 20-30% of bros who will come late or absent themselves with or without valid reasons becos they got nothing to lose.
Juz like your example, what if you come at 5.40pm and the WL is ready by 5.45pm and the boss cannot give you becos got booking at 6pm.
If you dun wan to wait and go off then he cannot earn your immediate $$$.
Then the WL wait until 6.15pm and he did not turn up at all.
So end up the WL wasted half hour waiting for nothing and the boss lose your biz becos of one idiot who did not turn up.
The boss cannot blacklist him becos he is an unknown customer.
So, what is the incentive for Garrick to honour that fella's booking??
This is totally ridiculous becos you are physically there and he had to turn you away for a booking which he dun even know whether the bro will turn up or not. What kind of biz is he doing then?
For such system to work, the boss must be assured of your committment.
Unless you are VVIP and never play him out before then you can book without deposit.
One time default then he will blacklist you.
Many years ago, Eagle wants the customer to pay deposit if you wan to book BMW.
If you "no show" then he forfeits your deposit lor.
If you late then you got less time to bonk lor. You waste your own time.
Two years ago, I heard the then OKT Kah Han of the now defunct 2831B telling one customer that "he come before you 15 mins so I had to do his biz first lah even you got booking 15 mins later".
You wait for him to come out lah. Next one is you lor. He told him.
He said " I wan to do your biz but I also wan to his biz mah.
If I ask him to wait and if you dun come then how?".
He asked the customer like that and the customer also bo pian.
Unless you pay deposit, then he has to reserve for you lor.
If you come late then you waste your own time lor.
