On a serious note though, if you calculate how much in the olden days the emperors spent on his harem, it would be mind blowing. Let's assume each gal gets 5k. And 1000 of them. And then multiple by housing plus one maid each, and then multiple by 12. Then multiple again by no of years. No wonder then everyone was taxed so heavily.
