Chinese RMB rates..

Hi, there is a thread on the Thai Baht rate but maybe a Chinese RMB rate would be good as China seems to be quite a popular place to chiong as well.
I saw on 4/09/08 at People's Park was about a dollar for 4.79RMB..
When I last changed in May was around 5.02RMB..

the visa is only S$25 if u apply personally at the chinese embassy in SG ...
if u get travel agent to do it, u need to pay a "processing" fee .. which can be range from S$10 to $40 ...

yes .. it's truth that china have spend a lot of money on the olympic but i'm sure the recent visa implementation is for security and control matters ..
regardless how ppl think abt it ... there r always 2 sides of a coin ..

but i'm sure everyone will agreed that china do make chinese proud in hosting the olympic so successfully ...
believe no country is capable to do better than them ..
no offense to the english ... i'm very sure they will flare plainly compare with china ..

As I have not changed the currency, as long as it doesn't continue to dive down, I will gladly accept it..:)

There is a good Money changer at "The Arcade" 2nd floor callded People's Corner. Always a lot of people queueing to change $$$. Infact there are a few there. This one seem to be the better one.

The rate for most currencies are not bad.. Can call them some more to find out the rate. But rate is ever changing, it's too violatile..

People's Corner (Nearest MRT Station is Raffles)
#02-07 The Arcade
6223 3040

Happy changing... :)

Hi bro,
I would agree totally, they have one of the most best rate for baht and Yuan but not so great when it come to ringgit and Rupiah.

My humble two cents.
